In the Winter , especially with the recent cold snap , it is hard to find good activities to keep the little ones entertained without relying on the Boob tube. Here are a few free and cheap activities to keep them busy and the corresponding dollar amounts .
Gymboree : Gymboree offers a free trial class . If you are looking for a free way to keep the kids active on a cold day , take advantage of this freebie . Cost $0
Lakeshore Learning Store : Free Craft day every Saturday from 11-3 for kids aged 3 and up . Cost : $0
Michael's : Many Free Craft Classes, usually on Saturdays . Most classes are totally free but some have a nominal cost . Cost: $0
Barnes & Noble : Super Saturday Story Times ( usually at 11 on Saturdays) . This is a free activity but you can also check local libraries and small local children's book stores for story times during the week. Cost : $0
Filmmetro : Look for free screenings of movies in your area and print out passes . You may have to actually purchase a ticket or too . No problem ! Buy Packs of tickets to AMC theaters and save big ! Cost : $0 -$12.00
