Activities

How About a Little Magic?
The legend of the leprechauns states that if a decorated treasure box is left empty under the moon, the leprechauns must fill the box with gold, jewels, or gifts.
Try this fun craft activity with your kids! Have your child decorate an empty box with paints, stickers, and other embellishments. Just before bed, help your child place the finished box on a windowsill where the moon will shine on it. Once your child is asleep, the resident leprechaun can fill the box with small treasures, such as foil-covered chocolate coins, costume jewelry, and trinkets.

For Older Kids you may want to hide that box and draw a treasure map with clues to the loot that the Leprechauns dropped.

Rat Race : Everyone knows that Good old St. Pat Chased the Rats out of Ireland . Cut out "Rats" from grey or brown construction paper with Hop , Jiggle, Skip etc.. instructions . Play Like Simon Says , substiuting St. Patty Says ....Who Ever Chases the Rats out first wins a Shiny Gold ( chocolate) Coin !

FOR ADULTS :
Having a St. Patty's Day celebration ? Make it a Pot O'Luck O' Beer ( Alcohol is expensive ) . Do your friends think they are true Beer Conosieurs ? Have a beer taste test ..whoever guesses the most Beers correctly wins a cheesy "Irish" gift .
Remeber friends don't let Friends ( or Family) drive drunk !
Happy St. Patty's Day !
